The last two days have not been fun. I am starting to think there is something really wrong with Zeke. Every three hours I prepare a bottle and then try to feed him. He just sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. I try rub his cheeks and tickle his tummy to wake him up but it seems like such an effort for him to open his eyes. When he finally wakes he only manages to drink 5mls of milk and then falls back asleep again. There will also be times where he will all of a sudden wake up and scream like he is in pain. I am really worried and no one will listen.

I have called the nurse on call line, seen the midwife and domiciliary nurse and told them my concerns and they all say he will be fine, he is just getting over the birth and resting. No he was not I would say. I knew there had to be something else. My cries were not being heard. I had also tried every type of massage and treatment for constipation (even Vaseline in his poor bottom) as it had been a few days since he had opened his bowels so I thought this may be the cause for the screaming. Nothing was working.

I was exhausted. On the verge of mastitis, I could not sleep as it was so painful. Waking every three hours to spend an hour trying to wake Zeke and feed him. All whilst looking after my other child and meeting his every demands. My husband was helpful as much as he could but he was busy working two jobs so I was trying my hardest to do all I could with minimal help.
