December has been touch and go with Zeke spending a number of days in at the Royal Children’s Hospital battling the flu and seizures.

The first weekend of December Zeke & brother Jacob had a great morning meeting The Wiggles on their Celebration Tour. The last week of November Corey received a call from Christine who organized the meet and greet, and explained to him that Wiggles and crew had all knew Zeke’s story and extended the opportunity to meet them at their first show. We were taken through to a meeting room where we got our photos taken, shook hands and sang songs with Greg Murray Anthony & Jeff. We also got to meet the new Wiggles, Zeke enjoyed his play with Emma the new yellow Wiggle! Following this event, for two hours the boys were entertained as they danced and sung along with all the songs.

December is also a very special month for Zeke as on the 7th he celebrated his second birthday. Unfortunately all birthday plans were cancelled as he was rushed to the Royal Children’s Hospital at 4am as his levels rose too high as he battled a bout of flu. Thank-you to everyone who wished him a Happy Birthday and a speedy recovery.

He was out by the weekend but was taken back in less than a week later as he begun to have seizures again. The doctors increased his medication for this and he was put onto sick-day formula while he had another short stay in the RCH. The doctors and his mum said he was doing well afterwards running about the hospital like a maniac! He was discharged the next day but was still required to wear his NG tube.

Christmas Eve came and both boys were picked up by their Dad to spend their Christmas in Wycheproof. Zeke was up early and Jake was not far behind. Santa had been and there was presents and wrapping paper everywhere! Lunch was spent in Donald with Laura’s family and it was back to Wycheproof to Pop Harry & Del’s, along with uncle Jacob for dinner.

Zeke had a great end to 2012 and managed to stay out of the RCH between Christmas and the New Year as he was kept a close eye on by his mum. New Years Resolution for the little man – a few less hospital visits and more time at home running round with his brother Jake!
