JJB cover album 0

While October has been quiet on the fundraising side of things, it has been a great month of progress in securing entertainment for Zeke’s Fundraiser.

After some correspondence with Maryse, Jessica’s manager, and Jessica herself, we are delighted to confirm that Jessica Jade Bruce & Band will be performing for Zeke’s Fundraiser. Jessica said she was very touched when she read his story on social network Facebook, and was keen to get involved and help out! We are honored to have this lovely woman offer her talents to help us raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital!!

The 21yo country talent has already made her mark on the industry. Since 2009 she has made it into the top 100 in Australian Idol, was chosen to be apart of the Tamworth Country Music College, a Grand-Finalist in the Telstra Road to Tamworth, won the Maton Talent Quest at Gympie Music Muster, and has recently recorded her very first EP in Nashville with producers Mathew Fell and Sam Hawksley. What a list!!

“I want my music to be your favorite pair of blue jeans. I want it to be comfy. Perhaps that’s an artsy way of saying I want my CD to be the one that you put on regardless of where
you are and how you’re feeling because you know you’re going to take something away from it no matter what’s going on in your life. What kind of music is it? That’s usually the number one question on everyone’s list for a singer/songwriter. My music is what you want to call it. I don’t like to label myself into a box. I want people to get a good feeling in their soul from these songs. Pop rock, Soul Pop…whatever you want to call it is okay with me. I just want it to make people feel good inside. I know that women like Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, Alanis Morrisette and Adele made me want to sing. But I’m not really trying to be the next anyone. I’m just being the first me”**
